Day 346 – Sunday, April 23, 2017
Sea of Blue
It was a just a touch,
Faint, so when released,
It began to light up;
A minute glow in a sea of blue
Spreading, it moved swiftly and steadily,
Caught like fire
Tracing the strands and tendrils nearby,
Until they too shimmered,
Glinting, sparkling, mesmerizing,
Like iridescent blue Morpho Butterflies
This beautiful expanse,
With it’s widening, glowing center,
Grew, until it resembled
Dye, dropped on the surface of water,
Shooting patterns to the edges of nothing,
But aching still to reach their ends
Eventually slowing,
Halting all motion
Gently swaying ever so slightly,
So I could admire its work,
And soon, I opened my eyes,
To greet my day…
