Mo’s Prose – Day 327 / Chalkboard Wine

Day 327 – Tuesday, April 4, 2017

Chalkboard Wine

In this last year of Crazyville, I see few days like this,
Where life slows down, and all around, I get the things I miss

Like pups all spent and happy just to be held in my arms,
And kisses on my forehead from a man with special charms

I need these days of “normal” where the world won’t spin me off,
And all those yuppie values, I will blow off with a scoff

Oh, give me sun, sweet Honey-bun, and garden just for me,
Friends and pets and Chalkboard wine; that’s sweet enough for me…
