Seduced by Autumn
I felt your entrance yesterday,
Your forceful, blowing kiss
Swirling hair, my ears impair,
–A presence hard to miss
Touch so soft, you stroke my face,
So feint upon my skin
Barely present, fall’s embrace,
You lift and trace my chin
Lusty gusts across my cheek,
Sweet warmth, like tactile touch
I close my eyes and melt in space,
I long for this so much
Abiding trees, by your command,
They slowly start to rest
Fronds and petals whither, fall,
Relax at your behest
But I, beguiled by summer sun’s,
Distracted healing glow
No thought nor want of seasons change,
My mind would not bestow
Until your whispers kissed my ears,
Brought shivers to my chest
Like Siren’s call, I heed my all,
Before my head protests
Now sweetly steal my breath with breeze,
And spice the musty wood
Seduced by autumn, weakened knees,
Won’t stop you if I could…
