Mo’s Prose – Day 313 / Patience

Day 313 – Tuesday, March 21, 2017

Patience

And then there are the awkward times,
I feel I’ve lost control
Disembodied observation,
Draining life from soul

It’s not for lack of trying,
And it’s not for lack of hope
But choices made with prices paid,
Will push the end of rope

The glimmer’s in the knowledge,
That this too is temporary
If I can “be” and still withstand,
I’ll chose the path contrary

Wisdom, patience, come to me,
You’ve no sense of my need
Rock me, calm me, stroke my brow,
So I can breath indeed
