Twists and Turns
Life is tricky, twists and turns,
It moves with sight and sound
Just when you think you’re going straight,
It’s turning upside down
Ideals good, no guarantees,
Adapt as best you can
Sometimes the best of everything,
Comes when you’re way off plan
Oh those scenes kept in my mind,
Of sea and ocean breeze
Blooming fragrant sweet orange trees,
You close my eyes and softly please
Inhale deeply, salty air,
Touch of rock and plant
Photos kept within my mind,
Happily –I will supplant
